As with any major project, everything runs smoother when you have a coordinator that manages it all. That’s where Lincoln Office can step in. From simple project management – overseeing moving people to different workstations, reconfiguring workspaces, or updating conference rooms – to complete relocation and move management, we provide you with one point of contact for every step of your project. We’ll even create timelines, make sure everything stays on track and give updates on the progress to everyone involved.
At the end of the day, our team works as an extension of you. We look at any problems that come up through your eyes and work fast to find cost-effective solutions that last.
The service department is responsible for execution within many areas of our overall order fulfillment process, primarily the delivery/installation phase. Currently, there are 10 full-time installers, supported by an administrative staff. Additional staffing requirements are met by utilizing contract labor, primarily from a partnership with an outside firm. Ongoing training for installers is provided by our key manufacturers as well as by Lincoln Office’s field installation supervisors.
We receive and inspect all products in our warehouses in East Peoria, Illinois and Crown Point Indiana. For larger projects, our installers will meet the delivery trucks on-site to inspect and unload the product. They will then deliver this furniture to a predetermined staging area for installation. We cover approximately a 120-mile radius, and our vehicle fleet consists of 4 trucks (varying sizes) and 3 vans. If a project requires more than the Certified Lincoln Office team of installers, we reach out to our Certified Installer Network across the country to bring in the resources required for projects and project completions. As additional installers are needed for projects, changing installation logistics, client needs or changing project scopes, we communicate with our client and engage our network to meet the ever changing schedules.
Our partner installation firms are also a part of their own network– a Member Best Practice Group. These installers are certified directly by the various furniture manufactures on best practices of installation on the different products. These resources ensure that our clients have a seamless installation.
Lincoln Office provides a dedicated customer service rep who handles warranty/repair requests from our clients. We follow an established process to ensure we fix the problem. The rep determines what parts are needed and then works with our parts/service/warranty technician to resolve the issue. There are times when the technician needs to see the problem firsthand before parts are ordered, but be assured we will take care of the problem for you.
Our trained technician is equipped with a designated vehicle, stocked with a broad range of Steelcase parts that are intended to service our customers on the first trip. Generally, 80% of our calls are for chair repair, 10% lock repair and 10% for other miscellaneous calls. Typically, we have three types of calls: Inspections: Site visit to inspect, no repairs made. Lincoln Office understands the purchase of office furniture is one of the biggest investments a company makes. That’s why we offer services to protect and extend the life of your investment.
